Maine Coon

Wow look at picture. is'nt it a beauty. Well before you go to that directory and call your local pet store, here are things you ought to know about the Maine Coon. It is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, the Maine Coon is generally regarded as a native of the state of Maine (in fact, the Maine Coon is the official Maine State Cat).. A widespread (though biologically impossible) belief is that it originated from matings between semi-wild, domestic cats and raccoons
Everything about the Maine Coon points to its adaptation to a harsh climate. Its glossy coat, heavy and water-resistant.
While Maine Coons are highly people-oriented cats, they are not overly-dependent. They do not constantly pester you for attention, but prefer to "hang out" with their owners, investigating whatever activity you're involved in and "helping" when they can.

The important features of the Maine Coon are the head and body shape, and the texture and 'shag' of the coat. The head is slightly longer than it is wide, presenting a gently concave profile with high cheekbones and ears that are large, wide at the base, moderately pointed, and well tufted inside.
Maine Coon owners enjoy the breed's characteristic clown-like personality, affectionate nature, amusing habits and tricks, willingness to 'help' with any activity, and easily groomed coat. They make excellent companions for large, active families that also enjoy having dogs and other animals around. Their hardiness and ease of kittening make them a satisfying first breed for the novice breeder. For owners wishing to show, the Maine Coon has reclaimed its original glory in the show ring. Now you can go call

The Cat (Enemy of the dog and Giant of the mouse

Hi guys
We have now talked about fishes and we gave some few tips on caring for them.
Be sure to ask questions.
Now we are going back to the mammals. The 2nd mammal we are going to talk about is the cat.
The cat is a worm blooded animal.
It is a very beautiful and wonderful animal.
Well stay tuned for more in formations on cat breeds.

Care of Fishes

Well we have talked about 3 breeds of fishes, now we are going to talk about how to care for the fishes
Here are some tips for taking care of your fishes

1. Some ordinary water may be put directly into the tank without further treatment. More often, though, the condition of the water is unsuitable due to the presence of chlorine and an excess of dissolved gases. Conditioning the water is a strongly recommended safeguard.

2. The best temperature for individual freshwater aquarium fish varies among species, but a temperature range between 74 and 78E (23 ā€“ 26EC) seems suitable to most.Waters of higher temperatures have an increased bacterial count and a reduction ofdissolved oxygen. Sudden temperature changes tend to cause shock and fish, followed by disease

3. Light, in the aquaruim be a natural or artificial, is mandatory for successful maintenance of an aquarium.About 12 hours of light per day is optimum. Fish need light to see, feed, and reproduced.Light also has a definite effect on the fish'sā€™ color

4. The aquarium should be located in a position to take advantage of any available daylight, but not direct sunlight. Near a window is preferable, but the tank should not be in a position where the sun shines directly into its and over heats the water.Elevated temperatures kill both fish and plants.

Queen Anglefish

Despite its bright colors, the Queen Angelfish blends well with its natural habitat. This fish and its close relative the Blue Angelfish, commonly hybridize -- that is, a Queen Angelfish and a Blue Angelfish will mate with each other, producing young fish that are a combination of their parents. Hybridizing between species of reef-dwelling fishes is extremely rare, except for these two angelfishes.
Queen Angelfish are found throughout the Caribbean but are seen only occassionally. Like other Angelfishes and Butterflyfishes, Queen Angelfish have tall, narrow bodies. Because they are so thin, they can turn quickly and can maneuver down into narrow cracks between the corals to hunt their prey. They swim by rowing with their pectoral fins. Their long dorsal, anal, and caudal (tail) fins allow them to turn quickly. The adult Queen Angelfish was about 12 inches long.

Largemouth Basses

Largemouth Basses love to clamp their large mouths down on other fishes, and anglers often go after this popular catch with live bait. They belong to the sunfish and bass family, Centrarchidae. Centrarchids are native to warm freshwater areas of North America and have been introduced throughout much of the continent. They are compressed, oval-shaped, spiny-rayed fishes with a continuous dorsal fin. Most live in lakes and streams, where their round, pebbly nests are a common sight in spring and summer.

Gold Fishes

As we said before, we are going to talk about different breeds of fishes. The first breed we are going to talk about the goldfish.
Goldfishes originates from China.
They can live in very cold temperatures, but are usually found in warmer waters in areas with mild winters.
Large populations of Goldfish can crowd out native fishes.
They should never be let go in ponds or streams in the wild.
Well the Gold fish are my favourite breed of fish, what is yours?

Fishes

Fishes come in an amazing variety of shapes and colors, but they all have three important things in common.
All fishes live in water, have fins, and use gills to get oxygen from the water
